Surgical wires/hooks+xrays+pics=Ready for surgery!

Just got back from the Orthodontist. Yeah...surgical wires/hooks take a while to put on! Probably about 20 minutes. Before I got them put on, I got X-rays done and "before" pictures taken in the office. There's not much to say about my appointment, other than I have all steel ties now, and look much more like a metal mouth. Hah but I feel great because this means I am all set for surgery! They also gave me wax, in case I need it. My teeth are a bit sore..but nothing new! I'm still looking for a blender, and recipes. Not sure how well it will all work out, but if I find a good blender that's cheap..I'll definitely let you know what I found. Same goes with recipes.

Yeah, I didn't really understand what the heck surgical wires/hooks were exactly..and no one really talked about them, so that's why I wanted to post this picture to show you guys exactly what they are!

So they steel tied all my teeth (instead of putting clear bands, because they are easier to clean and stuff), then added those hooks that are placed on all of my teeth that don't already have bracket hooks. These will probably be on for quite a while after surgery..because they will need them to band me shut.

That's pretty much all I have to tell about today. I hope this cleared up some confusion. If not, you can always leave a comment and I'll try my best to answer your questions (:

Check back for my last pre-op post the night before surgery (next week)
